The brilliant Climate Rush were inspired by the actions of the Suffragettes 100 years ago, who showed that peaceful civil disobedience could inspire positive change. They are a diverse group of women and men who are determined to raise awareness of the biggest threat facing humanity today – that of Climate Change. They say “Our government acknowledges the huge problems we face from Climate Change, but carries on with business as usual. We demand DEEDS NOT WORDS because individual choice alone cannot curb CO2 emissions if we are to stop runaway global warming”.

We love the Climate Rush girls! We gave them a grant of £10,000 from our Charity Pot to support their fun and creative campaigns against climate change and also ran their Trains not Planes campaign in all our stores in the UK. Many of our stores organised a Climate Change is No Picnic picnic outside their stores and invited customers to join them for a cup of tea and a piece of cake!
