Poole Schools’ Environment Award

We love to support projects which are local to our stores; the Schools’ Environment Award is a perfect example of this since it covers the Borough of Poole, Lush’s home.

The aim of the Schools’ Environment Award is to encourage children to take care of their environment by recycling, reducing waste, keeping the environment clean and reducing energy and water use. By taking part in the award schools have to identify areas where improvements can be made and then implement these changes. Thanks to this great hands-on programme, twelve schools in the Poole are busy earning their award by litter picking, recycling, planting trees, designing posters to educate others and lots more.

As well as supporting this project through Charity Pot, we also participate in meetings, attend launches, and on 6 March, we were there to help present the award to the very first school to meet all the criteria. Congratulations to Branksome Heath Middle School!
