By buying the Charity Pot Lush customers funded Seeds for Change to train and support climate activists here in the UK to take non-violent direct action against the powers that be who are refusing to take meaningful steps to stop climate change. So a big thanks for that.
We used the money you gave us to help ordinary people like you stand up and be counted at the 2007 Camp for Climate Action at Heathrow. We were able to offer them a range of workshops to ensure that they knew their legal rights, were as safe and supported as they could be when they took action, and that that action was as effective as possible.
Since the Camp in 2007, we’ve gone on to train many local climate action groups in campaigning skills (to find you local groups see www.networkforclimateaction.org.uk/toolkit/groups.html) and run 3
weekend events for people wanting to be able to offer this kind of support to activists and would be activists in their area. Thanks to your support there are now 30 more non-violent direct action trainers out there than there were before. Your donations fund action, but don’t stop there. Get involved and take action.
